Creation Festival rolls into town

It'll be a big night of contemporary Christian music Tuesday when the Creation Festival tour makes a stop at Northside Christian Church.
Three stars of the genre head the tour -- Jars of Clay, Thousand Foot Krutch and Audio Unplugged. Also performing: B. Reith, FM Static and This Beautiful Republic.
Tickets cost $25 for general admission or $40 for VIP seating.
Cars, cars, cars

The 2010 Central California Auto Show drives into Fresno this weekend, featuring the latest and most up-to-date models of cars, trucks and SUVs. There will be exotic and rare cars, as well, including the Ferrari and Ford GT sports cars.
Other activities include the Ford Fiesta Movement Ride & Drive, a chance to win $25,000 and appearances by Spider-Man and Iron Man on Sunday. The Green Trail highlights the latest trends in alternative-fuel vehicles.
Little Dragon's back

After playing to a nearly sold-out crowd earlier this year, Swedish electro-pop/soul group Little Dragon returns Thursday to Audie's Olympic.
The group's sound is atmospheric and ethereal, making them a buzzed-about international touring act.
Little Dragon recently released its second album, "Machine Dreams." Tickets cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the venue, as well as The Laundry Room, Veni Vidi Vici, Retro Rag and Palomino's.
The Tower gets haunted

For the second year, The Tower Theatre changes into a haunted attraction on Halloween night.
This year, the Tower's walk-through fright fest is called "Sunshine the Clown's Freak Show." It's being described as a "circus gone wrong," with lots of actor-driven scares.
The event runs from 9 p.m to midnight.
Dr. Seuss' crazy and magical fun

The Fresno Met opens its newest show Saturday, "The Art of Dr. Seuss -- A Retrospective and International Touring Exhibition," celebrating the art and life of Theodor Seuss Geisel.
The exhibit runs through Jan. 17. It shows common artistic links found throughout Dr. Seuss' nearly 70 years of creativity. A special display of "Secret Art" will be shown, as well.
To kick off the exhibit, the Met will host "Green Eggs at the Met" tonight, an evening of Dr. Seuss-inspired fun with live music and dancing. Hours are 8 p.m.-midnight, and tickets cost $10.
