Get ready for another weekend with so much food and drink, it's impossible to print it all here.

The three events described below should whet your appetite. For more, go to my blog, where you'll read all about a Hangar One vodka tasting at The Vineyard Restaurant & Bar in Madera, the Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple's Ginza Food Bazaar and a tasting of more than 30 rare wines at Trelio restaurant in Old Town Clovis.

The biggest food event is the Fall Wine Cornucopia, which gathers bakers, chefs, winemakers, cheesemakers and more for an afternoon of tasting.

The event's Web site, idrinkwine.net., offers a lip-smacking list of featured companies, including CupCakes Bakery, Mariposa Wine Co., Max's Bistro & Bar, Tivy Mountain Vintners and Valley Lahvosh Baking Co.

In addition to the feasting, check out the Iron Chef competition between Chris Shackelford of Trelio restaurant in Old Town Clovis and Paul Palomino of Palomino's in the Tower District.

The Cornucopia takes place 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the gate. Designated drivers pay $15. The tickets include all food and wine tastings, along with a 25-ounce commemorative glass. For more information, go to idrinkwine.net

Armenian food lovers are headed to Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church's annual food bazaar today and Saturday.

Church members make foods such as cheese boreg (a puff-pastry turnover) and sou-boreg (a noodle dish with butter, cheese and parsley). The bazaar sells these dishes frozen for the holidays.

Lunch takes place today, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Expect foods such as shish kebab, pilaf and yalanchi (grape leaves rolled around a rice filling). The cost is $12. To place an order in advance, you must buy at least 10 lunches.

Dinner and dancing will take place 5-8 p.m. Saturday. The meal will feature filet kabobs and chicken kabobs, plus the same side dishes as the lunches. The cost is $20, or $10 for dancing only.

The church is at 2226 Ventura Blvd.

For more information, contact the church office at (559) 486-1141.

And if you're a fan of menudo, go to a cook-off at the Kings County Fairgrounds to taste about 12 free samples of this Mexican soup.

Judges will pick the top ones. The Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce also will sell bowls of menudo. And a beer garden, food vendors and live entertainment will round out the events.

The fairgrounds are at 801 S. 10th Ave., Hanford. The event will take place 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $3, or $1 for children 9 years old and younger. For more information, call (559) 816-4138.
