Stolen cars found at Fresno auto shop

October 16, 2009

A law enforcement team targeting auto thieves seized six stolen cars, stolen car parts, a handgun and marijuana when an auto shop in central Fresno was raided this week.

The Help Eliminate Auto Theft team and the California Highway Patrol arrested the owner of Rev Speed and one employee when a warrant was served Monday at the business in the 1200 block of North Maple Avenue.

A spokesman for HEAT said the recovered cars included a 1972 Datsun that was reported stolen in Fresno in 1981, six cars with stolen engines and 17 stolen engines and transmissions.
