Vitals: Central, sophomore, 100/200/400

He’s qualified because: In a season that began (hip) and closed (groin) with injuries, Bigelow won the Central Section 400 in 48.04 – No. 2 all-time for a sophomore in the section.

He also ran the section’s season-best 21.63 in the 200 and had the fourth-best 10.83 in the 100.

He said it: “His training took a back seat to healing, and his confidence was kind of shot after being a big-time athlete as a freshman [placed second in the state’s 200]. Basically, he was put on the shelf for a month and a half and had to start over. In the next few years, he could be a state champ in both the 200 and 400.” – Grizzlies assistant coach Jeremy Graham.
