Hana, a 2-year-old Doberman, was on the mend this morning, a day after its owner was struck and killed while jogging with the dog in a Clovis neighborhood.

The family of Miyuki Wong visited Hana at a Fresno animal hospital Wednesday night, Clovis Police Department spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said.

The dog was "up and walking," Stoll-Lee said, "but there are still some issues."

Wong, 63, was struck while jogging in her residential neighborhood with Hana. She was hit at Mitchell and Sylmar avenues by a pickup driven by a 59-year-old woman who lives in the neighborhood.

Stoll-Lee said it will take two weeks to determine exactly what happened, but "preliminary results point to the collision as being a tragic accident with no obvious indicators of fault."
