Vitals: Sanger, 100 HH/LJ

She’s qualified because: A Bee All-Star in basketball, she took off in the second half of the track season and placed second in the long jump (18-5), fourth in the high hurdles (15.65) and sixth in the lows (46.42).

He said it: “We didn’t spend a lot of time with her working on the long jump because she was concentrating on the hurdles. Moving her into the long jump in the last two weeks of the season was kind of an unexpected move. And then to go from 16-10 to 18-5 in one meet is a phenomenal improvement for anybody. She’s a phenomenal girl and, at Sanger, that kind of girl doesn’t come by very often.” — Apaches coach Dave Dodson.
