Vitals: Bullard, junior, singles

He’s qualified because: The United States Tennis Association ranks Papac as the No. 6-ranked 18-year-old singles player in Northern California.

Bullard’s No. 1 singles player missed the County/Metro Athletic Conference tournament, which qualifies CMAC players for the Central Section individual championships, because he was invited to play in the USTA National Open in El Paso, Texas.

Among his impressive area victories was a win over Clovis West’s Paganetti.

He said it: “In the Fresno area, he’s the best player outside of Josh Lorentzen. He’s beaten pretty much everyone around here.” — Bullard coach Mark Weatherly
