Vitals: Tulare Western, senior, pitcher

She's qualified because: Tied for second in the Central Section with 24 wins, the last of which was a 3-2 victory over Golden West for the Division II title, the first in Mustangs history.

Had a 0.91 ERA with 200 strikeouts in 193 innings. Hardman pitched 10 shutouts.

Also hit .322 with two doubles, two triples, 17 runs and 18 RBIs for the East Yosemite League champs.

He said it: “We pretty much knew every single game the other team would not score more than two runs on us. So we knew we had a pretty good chance of winning as long as we scored runs. She’s a smart pitcher. She knows how to pitch batters and where to work them. She has a good changeup.” — Tulare Western coach Steve Bullock
