Vitals: Clovis West, junior, 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay

He’s qualified because: Swam third leg of the Golden Eagles’ record-breaking 200 medley relay team that won in an All-America time of 1:35.35 at the section finals.

Individually, he was second in the 200 individual medley (1:52.89) and second in the 100 fly (50.53), both All-America times.

Also a member of third-place 400 free relay team, which had All-America consideration time of 3:11.80.

He said it: “He absolutely has to be one of the toughest daily trainers in the area. There is no break with him. He maxes out his effort. The results he had this year are the direct result of what he does in practice.” — Clovis West coach Steve Baxter
