Clovis police arrested a 23-year-old gang member late Tuesday in connection with the sexual assault of two teenage girls.

Sgt. John Fannon said police began an investigation of Clovis resident Jordan Perez in late April. Fannon said Perez used his status as a member of the Juggalo gang to intimidate the victims, ages 16 and 15, to engage in sex with him.

Police believe the assaults occurred in February and March at Jefferson Elementary School after normal school hours. Officers believe there may be as many as five additional victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detective J.R. Murillo at (559) 324-2800.
