School: Clovis East

Year: Sophomore

Position: Forward

Need to know: Burst upon the scene with a fluid and explosive inside game, leading the two-time defending D-I champion in scoring (15.4). And that was gleaned in limited minutes in a balanced offense that went 18-1, including a 10-0 Tri-River Athletic Conference mark, while winning by an average of 20 points per game against section competition. The Timberwolves finished 25-5 overall.

Broke his nose in the third quarter and didn’t return in a 70-69 upset loss to Buchanan in the D-I quarterfinals.

“He scores 25 points a game for most other teams,” T’wolves coach Tim Amundsen said. “He’s a finisher. It doesn’t matter how big or athletic the other team is, he’s going to score. He was also our second-leading rebounder [5.3] and changed shots [defensively] around the rim. He has unlimited potential.”
