School: Central

Year: Senior

Position: Defender

Need to know: A three-year player for Central, Swobe was voted the Tri-River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year this season. He was a first-team all-league pick the previous two years. Swobe helped the Grizzlies post 15 shutouts this year; he also scored three goals and had four assists.

Central went 8-1-1 to win the TRAC. The Grizzlies finished 20-5-5 overall, losing to Bullard in the Central Section Division I final and falling to top-seeded El Toro-Lake Forest in the opening round of the CIF Southern California Division I Regional.

“Tyler is a player that is a leader on the field; through his play he leads his team,” Central coach Daren Pittman said. “Tyler plays every minute of every game, never quits and has a positive attitude no matter what the outcome may be. He is one of the best defenders in the Valley, hard to get around and strong in the air.”
