Position: Forward

Need to know: Burnell was named the North Sequoia League’s Player of the Year and Liberty’s Most Valuable Player after scoring a school-record 55 goals and assisting on 11 others. Burnell scored 22 goals and had nine assists in league play, helping the Hawks go undefeated at 10-0. Burnell has 150 career goals.

Burnell had two games this season where she scored five goals, four games in which she scored four and six hat tricks. The Hawks went 20-7-1, losing 3-1 to Mission Prep in the semifinals of the Central Section Division V playoffs.

Burnell was a team captain this year and “a great person for the new girls to look up to,” Liberty coach Ed Benavente said.
