School: Buchanan High

Year: Junior

Positions: Midfielder/forward

Need to know: A three-year varsity starter, Held was a first-team All-Tri-River Athletic Conference pick this season, when she scored 19 goals and had 13 assists. Held has scored 28 goals and racked up 31 assists during her career.

“Kacey is one of hardest working players I’ve ever coached,” Buchanan coach Erik Farfan said. “She has great speed, intensity and is great one-versus-one to the goal. Kacey is a well-balanced player who is unselfish and can not only score but set her teammates up to score as well.”

Buchanan won its fourth straight Central Section Division I championship this year after finishing second in the TRAC to Clovis; the Bears beat Stockdale 5-1 for the title. The Bears (27-4-1) advanced to the CIF Southern California Division I Regional final, where they lost 3-2 to San Clemente.

Held has orally committed to Cal Poly.
