All-America center Gennifer Brandon and point guard Monica Jackson each scored eight points in the fourth quarter as fifth-seeded Chatsworth rallied past No. 12 Clovis West 66-62, outscoring the Golden Eagles 23-11 in the final eight minutes of their first round Southern California Regional Division I playoff game Monday.

Brandon, a 6-foot-3 senior headed for Cal, and Jackson each finished with 18 points for the 24-8 Los Angeles City Section champion.

Brianna Orlich scored 20 points and Janae Coffee added 19 for Central Section runner-up Clovis West (23-7).

But Morgan Hatten, the Golden Eagles' senior point guard and The Bee's 2008 co-Player of the Year, scored only two points while battling a knee sprain incurred Saturday in a 70-60 loss to Stockdale for the section D-I title at Selland Arena.

"She came out and gave it a go, she played like a champion, as she has all year, but she definitely was not herself," Clovis West coach Craig Campbell said.

The Eagles made 1 of 2 free throws in the fourth quarter, compared with the Chancellors' 6 of 12.
