School: Clovis West

Year: Senior

Height/weight: 6-2, 235

He’s qualified because: Tri-River Athletic Conference Player of the Year was the Central Section’s most powerful defensive force for a team that shut down Clovis East’s I-wing offense in a 24-7 win for the Division I championship.

A repeat Bee All-Star who has made an oral commitment to Fresno State, he had 150 tackles, six sacks, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and three interceptions.

And he played the second half of the season with a shoulder injury that was surgically repaired a few days following the title game.

The word: "He was the best player in the Valley, a tremendous leader who gave everything we expected. He brought his ‘A’ game every week, and it didn’t matter if it was 90 to nothing. His willingness to put his team first was just remarkable. That’s the quality I’ll remember.” — Golden Eagles coach Gary Kinne.
