School: Central Valley Christian

Year: Senior

Height/weight: 6-3, 250

He’s qualified because: Two-way All-Central Sequoia League lineman with 5.03-second speed in the 40, he was generally the most physical player on the field for a 9-3 team that tied for the league title, defeated defending Central Section Division IV champion Chowchilla in a nonleague game and lost by only five points to Bakersfield Christian, the D-V titlist that finished top-ranked in the state for that division.

The word: “He’s a very athletic offensive tackle and defensive nose guard who flat out gets after it. We ran a lot of counters and tackle traps to use his athletic ability. Whenever we needed something, we ran behind him, and other teams knew it. He’s a big guy who runs and plays low with great technique. He was a great conditioned athlete who also played on kickoff teams and never left the field. He wouldn’t start in the TRAC -- he would star in it. I have no doubt he’s one of the top five offensive linemen in the entire Central Section, regardless of division. And he carries a 3.8 GPA.” — Cavaliers coach Ryan Phelan.
