School: Corcoran

Year: Senior

Height/weight: 5-10, 195

He’s qualified because: Three-time East Sequoia League Most Valuable Player and repeat Bee All-Star rushed for 2,276 yards, scored 41 touchdowns and averaged 10 tackles a game for the Central Section Division V runner-up.

In the D-V title game, he rushed for 241 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-27 loss to Bakersfield Christian, which finished top-ranked in the state’s D-V.

He finished with 88 touchdowns and 376 tackles for his career.

The word: “Brant is an exceptional young man with decent speed and the ability to carry a team. He is the reason Corcoran has risen to fight for the last two Valley championships in two different divisions [including D-IV in 2007]. He never left the field, and after Week 3 not one team kicked the ball deep to him because of his return ability. If you put Brant on any team in the Valley, he would be successful. Just look what he did against Bakersfield Christian, which was bigger and more athletic than us. Given his position as one of the top statistical leaders on both sides of the ball, I would go as far as to say that he is the best player in the Valley.” — Panthers coach Rich Lane.
