Vitals: El Diamante, senior

Need to know: Made 208 saves during a season that culminated in a 18-save performance in the Miners’ 6-4 victory over Porterville for the Central Section Division II final.

Falat was named the MVP of the D-II tournament, after gaining first-team All-West Yosemite League honors while helping El Diamante to the title.

Had 642 saves in three-year career that featured back-to-back D-II titles and a runner-up finish in 2006.

The word: “She was by far the most valuable player in that pool for us. We would not have had the success we did if Libby was not in that cage. She does not like to lose and definitely does not like to get scored on. Combine that with her talents and it’s a great combination to watch.” — El Diamante coach Jon Conrad
