Vitals: Bullard, sophomore

She’s qualified because: She won the County/Metro Athletic Conference championship, breaking the 3-mile Avocado Lake course record by 30 seconds with a 17:17; she ran an 18:02 the week before to win the Fresno Unified School District title.

She finished fourth in Division I at the Central Section meet, clocking an 18:52 over 3.1 miles.

She shaved 15 seconds off that time at the state meet to finish 32nd in 18:37.

She also won the Pepperdine Invitational (18:32 over 3.1 miles) and the Santa Clarita Valley Invitational (18:03 over 3 miles).

The word: “She’s a great student. She’s a great athlete. She’s just a good kid to work with,” Bullard coach Dan McNamara said.
