Need to know: The student-athlete so bright he could have passed on his senior year to attend USC on academic scholarship placed fourth in the section (15:47) and 31st in the state (15:44).
Hes a repeat Bee All-Star, having placed fifth in the section (15:53) as a junior.
The word: Hes the most intelligent kid Ive ever had a chance to coach. USC has a special program they offer to students because of high scores on the SAT and PSAT. He said, No, to USC because he wanted to be with our team. I did have high expectations for him, but I didnt want to put too much pressure on him after he got hurt as a freshman. Hes such a talent he doesnt realize how tough he is. Buchanan coach Marty Simpson said.
