Height/position: 5-11, outside hitter

She's qualified because: Petersen led a talent-laden Golden Eagles team with 390 kills, 264 digs and 43 aces, and her 32.8 hitting percentage ranked third. She also had 18 blocks. Petersen and the Eagles won the Tri-River Athletic Conference and clinched the first Central Section girls volleyball championship in the school's 30-year history. The Golden Eagles lost to Santa Margarita in the semifinals of the CIF Southern California Division I playoffs.

The word: "She did a phenomenal job for us," Clovis West coach Rhonda DeRuiter said. "Last year, she was a good hitter, and that's what we got from her. This year, she passed, she dug, she was one of our top servers, our kill leader and had a respectable amount of blocks."
