Buchanan High

Year: Junior

Height/position: 5-11, middle blocker

She's qualified because: A second-year varsity starter, Ferrari played all the way through the rotation and led her team in kills (216), blocks (96) and hitting efficiency (4.13). She also had 144 digs. She was named first-team All-Tri-River Athletic Conference and MVP of the Clovis Invitational (which Buchanan won). She also was picked as MVP for the Bears, who finished second to Clovis West in league and went 24-12 overall. Ferrari earned the Bear Award for volleyball, which recognizes a sport's highest athletic and academic achiever.

The word: "She's just a real solid, strong player," Buchanan coach Marian Battles said.
