Location: Kings Canyon National Park

Length: 4.4 miles (out and back)

Difficulty: Easy to moderate

Fees: $20 park entrance fee (annual passes $30)

Trailhead: After passing through the Big Stump Entrance Station on Highway 180, turn right (east) on the General's Highway toward Sequoia National Park and drive 6.5 miles. Look for the large sign and small parking area on the south side of the road. If you reach the turnoff to Big Meadows, you've gone too far.
