Nine jurors in a civil trial concluded that Father Eric Swearingen had molested former alter boy, Juan Rocha.

Father Swearingen got no disciplinary action, yet he got a standing ovation at Sunday Mass. Has the Sunday Mass become nothing more than a popular ceremony?

I don't see how anyone, including a bishop, can exempt disciplinary action from one found guilty in a civil trial by jury.

What happened to the church's rule about zero tolerance in dealing with priests? No reprimand for Father Swearingen for being involved sends a bad message to our children.

Put yourselves in the Rocha family's position. It took great courage to take this matter to court.
