Tim Sheehan covers the city of Visalia. He has been at The Bee since January 2001, most recently serving as the South Valley bureau chief. Previously, he was editor of Fresno Neighbors, a zoned, weekly 85,000-circulation newspaper published by The Bee, for three years. From 1988 through 1990, he was a reporter covering local government and environmental issues for The Selma Enterprise and The Kingsburg Recorder. After a brief stint as a reporter covering environmental issues for The Hanford Sentinel in early 1991, he returned to serve as managing editor of The Enterprise and Recorder from mid-1991 to early 1998.
