BEVERLY HILLS -- By my count, this is the 37th Television Critics Association tour I have attended over the past 19 years. It would have been 38, but that pesky writers' strike meant the cancellation of the January trek by critics to Southern California. Unless there is a strike, the event is held twice a year. Each July, TV critics from across the country get the chance to preview the fall season, which traditionally begins in September.

Jadine MacLiver has left the anchor chair of the KMPH, Channel 26, 10 p.m. weeknight news. She held that that job for more than 11 years and left to have more time with her family. Her last day as an anchor for the local Fox affiliate was Friday.
