Doctors pledge funds for expansion of Clovis emergency department.Emergency physicians affiliated with Clovis Community Medical Center have pledged $500,000 to help fund the hospital's expansion.
The contribution announced this week from Community Emergency Medical Associates -- affiliated with the hospital for more than two decades -- is earmarked for the emergency department expansion. The planned expansion will add more space for patients and include updating equipment and technology.
WASHINGTON -- The five-year farm bill completed Thursday is a multibillion-dollar grab bag.
The state's almond orchards will yield a record 1.46 billion pounds of nuts this summer, the federal government projected.
