Funeral services for Alex Christopher Mercado, the 4-year-old Mendota boy who was killed last week, have been arranged.

The first service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on the corner of Quince and Fifth streets in Mendota.

The second service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kerman on the corner of Del Norte Avenue and Kearney Boulevard.

After the second service, there will be a procession to Fresno Memorial Gardens at the corner of Cornelia and Whitesbridge avenues.

In court records authorities say 14-year-old Raul Renato Castro admitted to molesting and then drowning Alex on Oct. 30 in Mendota.
