California agriculture officials say they will meet Wednesday in Fresno to discuss the effects of statewide water shortages on farming and food supplies.

The state Board of Food and Agriculture will hear from speakers with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and hold discussions about what next year might hold for farmers.

The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fresno County Farm Bureau offices, 1274 W. Hedges Ave.
