Vitals: Buchanan, senior, 110 high hurdles, 400 relay, triple jump

He’s qualified because: Placed second in the Central Section (14.27) and fifth in the state (14.26), and recorded the section’s 13th-best all-time mark (14.21) in the 110 high hurdles.

Had the section’s third-best triple jump (46-10) of the season.

Contributed a leg on a section-winning 400 relay (42.04).

He said it: “You want your seniors to end on a high note, and he had an amazing senior year. He had a great football season, an outstanding basketball season and came back to track to score big points in the jumps, run the relay and medal in the state. That’s the way you want a kid to go out.” – Bears coach Brian Weaver.
