Vitals: Buchanan, senior, 100/200/400 relay/1,600 relay

He’s qualified because: Placed second in the Central Section 200 (22.08) and ran legs on a winning 400 relay (42.04) and third-place 1,600 relay (3:22.29).

Also clocked a section No. 3 season-best 10.80 in the 100.

He said it: “He had a breakthrough season. When looking back at Cameron as a freshman, he was a great kid but not one you would look down the road and expect him to do what he did. He needed time to grow, and he just matured. He also went out for football for the first time and played a big part. What he did his senior year was special.” – Bears coach Brian Weaver.
