She is a three-time section champion in the 1,600 and is only the third runner to accomplish this. Her time of 4:59.20 in the 1,600 is seventh on the all-time list, and she holds the third-best time in the 3,200 at 10:34.72. Saylor also won section titles in the 3,200 as a freshman and sophomore. In the 3,200, she placed seventh in the state after finishing fifth last year and third as a sophomore. She’s the school record holder in the 3,200 and is second best in the 1,600.

She’s qualified because: Contributed eight points to the Cougars’ girls section team title by placing second in the 1,600 (4:59.39) and sixth in the 3,200 (11:04.17). Her season bests of 4:48.51 in the 1,600 and 10:56.15 in the 3,200 rank Nos. 4 and 9 for a junior in section annals. And her 2:16.40 in the 800 was fourth-best in the section for the season.

She’s qualified because: She was pretty good in the 400, placing fourth in the section (57.08), and was respectable in the 100 (12.58) and the 200 (25.48) top-10 season marks in the section.
But it was her relay legs that sparkled as the Tigers won the section 1,600 (3:50.76) before dropping that to a 3:48.08 that placed third in the state with the section’s best-ever time.

She’s qualified because: Launching what’s expected to be a dominating three-year cycle, she won the section 1,600 (4:57.70), placed second in the 3,200 (10:53.27) and ran the section’s fifth-best 800 of the season (2:16.46).
Her season-best 4:56.84 1,600 ranks No. 3 in the section for a sophomore, and her 10:47.59 3,200 is seventh-best in section history for all classes.
