Vitals: Bullard, senior, designated hitter

She's qualified because: Capped a four-year varsity career by being named the County/Metro Athletic Conference’s Player of the Year after leading the Knights to an undefeated league season and the top seed in the Division I playoffs.

Her bat — which produced a .386 average, 10 doubles and 18 RBIs — powered Bullard’s offense.

Her pitch-calling, defensive skills and leadership from behind the plate helped carry a pitching staff that featured a sophomore and freshman.

She said it: “Gina was very clutch throughout the year. She came up with big hits when we needed them, and she was a consistent defensive presence for our pitching staff. She led them from behind the plate.” — Bullard coach Jaime Maxey
