Vitals: Clovis East, junior, diving

She's qualified because: Captured her second straight section diving title with a score of 361.55. Placed second as a freshman in 2007.

Also won North Area and Tri-River Athletic Conference tournament titles, and was second at the Clovis West Invitational.

Has been a varsity performer in cross country, soccer and diving for three seasons.

He said it: “She really has matured as a diver. I can see the difference between her sophomore and junior seasons. She had to make the transition from trying to be the best as a sophomore to basically saying ‘I am one of the best out there and everyone is coming after me. And what I need to do is stay focused on my job, and if I do that, I will accomplish my goals,’ which was to win Valley.” — Clovis East diving coach Patrick O’Meara, Meaghan’s father
