He's qualified because: Capped one of the most distinguished careers in Central Section history with All-America marks in four events. The USC-bound Daniels won the 50 free in 20.61 seconds. He was even better in the 100 free, winning in 45.45, more than 2 seconds faster than the second-place mark. Daniels then helped the Golden Eagles overcome a slight deficit to win the 200 free relay (1:26.29) with an anchor-leg split of 20.40. His race-best split of 44.89 seconds led Clovis West to second place in the 400 free relay (3:10.33).
Career highlights: Daniels swam in 16 section championship finals -- eight individual and eight relay races -- during his four years at Clovis West, finishing them all in an All-America time. Those 16 swims led to 12 first-place and four second-place medals. He won the 50 free, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay as a freshman and the 50 free, 200 free relay and 400 free relay as a sophomore. The only
