Vitals: Clovis West, sophomore, 200 free, 500 free, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay

He’s qualified because: At section finals, swam leadoff leg of record setting 200 medley relay team (1:35.35), and followed that with a third-place in the 200 free in an All-America consideration time of 1:42.47.

Best swim of day came while placing second in the 500 free, an All-America 4:34.58. Also part of third-place 400 free relay time that clocked an All-America consideration 3:11.80.

He said it: “When the gun goes off, he’s so aggressive in the pool. He really does not like to lose to anyone. And when the race is close, he’s not going to let anyone win. He’s going to fight all the way to the end.” — Clovis West coach Steve Baxter
