Vitals: Clovis East, freshman, diving

He’s qualified because: Established himself as the diver to watch over the next couple of seasons by placing second at the section finals with a school-record score of 437.10.

Also won the North Area and Tri-River Athletic Conference diving titles, and finished second at the Clovis West Invitational.

He said it: “He’s got a great background in gymnastics, that’s where the base has come in. And even though it comes easy for him, he works really hard to fine-tune all the little things. He’s a great competitor.” — Clovis East diving coach Patrick O’Meara
