School: Roosevelt

Year: Senior

Position: Guard

Need to know: North Yosemite League Player of the Year and four-year starter averaged 21.5 points for a 28-3 team that set a school record for wins while capturing the Rough Riders’ first Central Section title, in Division III.

She made 99 3-pointers, many from NBA range, and the last was most important — drawing her team two points back of Porterville with 1:57 remaining in the D-III championship game that Roosevelt won 51-47 after trailing by 10 with 5:45 left.

“She’s just a very well grounded, nice lady — I mean, really nice lady — who has her priorities set in the right way,” Riders coach Mark Gradoville said. “To have her go out the way she went, not only as an individual, but as a team, means everything to me because of the type of kid she is.”
