Vitals: Exeter, sophomore
She’s qualified because: Fry sliced large margins off her times throughout the season. She placed second in Division III at the Central Section meet with a 19:12 over 3.1 miles (she was fifth last year in D-IV in 21:06).
She was the top finisher among Central Section runners in the D-III state race in 22nd place with an 18:55 (last year she was 50th in D-IV in 20:46).
Also this year she won the small school division at the Rough Rider Invitational and the varsity girls race at the Mt. SAC Invitational.
She was fourth at the Clovis Invitational in the small school division, running a personal-record (and school-record) 18:45 at Woodward. Fry was the Central Sequoia League champ this year, running an 18:30 over 3.1 miles on the Kingsburg Gun Club course.
The word: “I’m pretty proud of her,” Exeter coach Isaac Gonzales said. “She worked hard, ran well and had a good season.”
