Two Fresno agencies receive state funds for housing projects

Two Fresno agencies were among a list of 32 agencies statewide to receive money from the California Department of Housing and Community Development for housing projects. The Marjoree Mason Center of Fresno County was awarded $1 million and the Fresno County Economic Opportunity Commission received $288,329. Madera man held in child porn investigation

A 47-year-old Madera man was arrested today on suspicion of possessing child pornography, the Madera County Sheriff's Department said. Detectives serving a search warrant at the man's home also found a small pile of children's undergarments and a bag of processed marijuana.
